Maple Bacon

Maple Bacon

Ingredients:

12 slices bacon

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup maple syrup

 

Preparation:

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil before placing a baking rack on top.  The aluminum foil will save you a lot of cleaning time and the rack ensure that the bacon cooks but the sugar doesn’t burn.  In a medium sized bowl combine the brown sugar and maple syrup.  Use your hands and thoroughly coat each slice of bacon in the mixture (be generous).  Lay them flat on the backing rack then get them in the oven for 10  minutes. Use tongs to turn the bacon once this 10 minutes has elapsed, then bake for another 5 minutes.  Cool slightly and serve.
